The Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 (14”, 9) is an innovative addition to Lenovo’s convertible laptop portfolio. Unveiled at IFA following the launch of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor, this AI-enabled device is designed for both productivity and entertainment at an affordable price point.
Powered by the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core, the IdeaPad 5x includes a 45TOPS NPU (neural processing unit), which optimizes AI-driven tasks, including Microsoft Copilot+. This ensures efficient performance across various scenarios. The new IdeaPad comes with 16GB of Dual-Channel LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB TLC 2242 SSD storage.
The 14-inch WUXGA OLED touch display, with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 400 nits of brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, delivers crisp visuals in both PC and tablet modes. Weighing just 1.49kg (3.30 lbs) and measuring 17.5mm (0.69”) at its thinnest, the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 is portable and sleek.
In terms of security and user experience, the device comes equipped with a front-facing FHD RGB camera with a privacy shutter and a fingerprint reader for instant access via Smart Login. Durability is ensured by its metal A-cover and MIL-STD-810H testing, giving users peace of mind in various environments.
Connectivity options are robust, with two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.3 support. The Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 (14”, 9) will be available in Luna Grey starting October 2024, with a base price of $849.
