Samsung has officially launched its 2025 Neo QLED 8K and 4K television lineup, now available in the United States. First revealed at CES 2025, the latest range includes enhancements in display technology, AI-driven features, and user interaction.
A key highlight across the Neo QLED lineup is the integration of Samsung Vision AI, which combines advanced AI processing with adaptive features designed to enhance both picture and sound. Vision AI introduces several new capabilities, such as 8K AI Upscaling Pro, real-time language translation with subtitles through the Live Translate feature, and Click to Search, which provides additional information about on-screen content. Users can also control their TVs using hand gestures when paired with a Galaxy Watch, thanks to a feature called Universal Gestures.
Neo QLED 8K Series
Samsung’s 2025 8K series includes the QN990F and QN900F models, offering screen sizes from 65 to 98 inches. The QN990F uses the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor and Quantum Matrix Mini LEDs, supporting upscaling of lower-resolution content to 8K. It features Samsung’s Glare-Free technology, designed to reduce reflections and maintain image quality across various lighting conditions.
This model includes a Wireless One Connect Box, enabling cable-free device connections up to 30 feet away. Motion Xcelerator 240Hz and AI Motion Enhancer Pro are included for smoother action, particularly during sports or gaming. Audio is delivered through Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Pro, which adapts audio direction based on on-screen motion.
The QN900F model offers similar features with slight differences, including Motion Xcelerator 165Hz and Object Tracking Sound+. It is also available in 65”, 75”, and 85” sizes, starting at $3,299. The QN990F ranges from $5,499 to $39,999 for the 98” model, rolling out in stages.
Neo QLED 4K Series
The 4K lineup includes the QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F models. The flagship QN90F is available in screen sizes ranging from 43” to 98” and is powered by the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor. This model includes 4K AI Upscaling, Neo Quantum HDR+, and Samsung’s Glare-Free technology. It also supports Motion Xcelerator 165Hz for high refresh rates and reduced blur in fast-moving scenes.
The QN80F and QN70F models use the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor and feature Motion Xcelerator 144Hz. These models offer screen sizes up to 100 inches and support AI-enhanced 4K visuals and sound.
Later this year, Samsung plans to release larger screen options: a 100” QN80F and a 115” QN90F, equipped with Supersize Picture Enhancer for better performance on large displays.

Broader Integration Across Samsung Ecosystem
Samsung Vision AI features will be available not just on the Neo QLED 8K and 4K models, but also on select OLED, The Frame, and QLED TVs. These models will benefit from intuitive interaction features like Live Translate, Click to Search, and gesture controls.
New in 2025, the Samsung Art Store—previously exclusive to The Frame—is now available on Neo QLED and QLED TVs. The store offers access to over 3,000 artworks from institutions like MoMA, The Met, and Art Basel.
Samsung also announced long-term support for its Tizen OS, promising up to seven years of software updates. This ensures ongoing access to new apps and features across the product’s lifespan.
For content, the TVs include access to over 2,700 free channels via Samsung TV Plus and support for cloud-based gaming through Samsung Gaming Hub, with services from Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and others.
All new models are compatible with SmartThings, Samsung’s smart home platform, and include Samsung Knox for data protection.
Audio Products
Alongside the TV lineup, Samsung introduced new Q-series soundbars, including the HW-Q990F ($1,799) and HW-Q800F ($999), designed to complement the visual performance of the Neo QLED TVs.
