Halliday, a pioneering brand in AI-powered eyewear, has just unveiled the world’s first proactive AI smart glasses at CES 2025. The Halliday glasses feature DigiWindow, an invisible, lens-free near-eye display that seamlessly projects information into the user’s field of vision without obstructing their view.
Developed by Ph.D. engineers from Stanford, this discreet technology offers superior visibility, even in bright sunlight, and avoids common issues found in traditional smart glasses. The glasses are controlled via a trackpad ring, voice commands, or a built-in frame interface, making them both intuitive and stylish.
The standout feature of Halliday glasses is their proactive AI agent, which anticipates users’ needs and provides assistance before it is asked. Unlike traditional reactive AI assistants, Halliday’s AI listens to and understands context during conversations, offering insights or answering questions proactively.
This feature is particularly useful in meetings, where the AI can summarize discussions, provide answers, and take notes. The AI is also capable of real-time language translation, providing navigation instructions, sending quick replies, and even displaying lyrics for music.
The retro-styled glasses are available in matte black or tortoiseshell and can accommodate prescription lenses. Weighing only 35 grams, they offer up to 8 hours of continuous use, ensuring comfort for all-day wear. The glasses also include features like audio memo capture, quick note-taking, and cheat sheet/teleprompter functionality.
Halliday combines vintage design with cutting-edge AI technology, offering a powerful tool for those seeking discretion, intelligence, and style in their wearable technology. Priced between $399 and $499, Halliday glasses will begin shipping by Q1 2025, with more details available on their website.
